Psychologists provide healthcare and are approved as an “Essential Service” by Federal Department of Homeland Security and by California’s “Executive Order” signed by Governor Newsom. As a result, you can obtain counseling from Psychologist, Dr. John Quinlan PsyD (AKA - Dr. Q), in person, by phone, or through Zoom. For those unsure of security issues related to Zoom software please see their publication concerning HIPPA compliance. All appointment forms (in person, Zoom, or by phone) start by choosing the appointment link on this page.
For those unable to utilize Zoom, then phone counseling is available. According to the American Psychological Association, “phone-only services can ensure that people who need psychological services can still access necessary care during this time of COVID-19”. Please note that if you make an in person appointment you can be assured that Dr. John Quinlan PsyD will be wearing a surgical mask, and maintain physical distancing, in accordance to the mandate by San Bernardino County. If you choose to have a phone or Zoom appointment, then please note that there are risks involved. These risks will be outlined at the start of your phone or Zoom session. After you understand these risks, you will need to verbally consent to services, or deny serves, based on these risks. |
